This month, we’re proud to present our first-ever duo, Allison Victoria and Yadin Kol!

About Allison & Yadin:
Even though both Allison & Yadin started their careers in 2016, they have easily become some of the busiest, most visible musicians in Indianapolis. Both self-taught, they have collectively performed in a wide variety of shows, such as Sofar Sounds: Indianapolis, Vibe On Wednesday: V.O.W., and the Indianapolis Museum of Art‘s Beer Garden Concet series, among countless others. Their soulful vibe, thoughtful songwriting and commitment to leaving a positive impact make them a strong addition to the city’s thriving music scene.

What is DRAWN?

DRAWN (est. November 2016) is a unique way of combining and celebrating the visual and performing arts communities of Indianapolis.  Through eclectic performances by some of the city’s top performers, visual artists will get to experience figure drawing in a whole different level. The concept is simple, really: live performances replace traditional figure drawing models, and artists get to kick their drawing skills up a notch (or ten).

Where is DRAWN?

Situated in the city’s vibrant Near East Side, Rabble Coffee is where DRAWN takes place. The shop offers delicious coffee, friendly baristas and an atmosphere that embraces the arts and the community. Their address is 2119 East 10th Street, right across from the Burger King on 10th Street. Street parking is always free.

What experience is needed when coming to DRAWN?

No experience is necessary. We welcome anyone from professional artists, to art school students, to the hobbyist.

Will materials be provided?

Yes, some pencils and paper will be provided. But please feel free to bring your own materials that you feel will suit your needs and comfort level.

Why is there a $5 cover?

100% of the event’s cover goes towards the evening’s performing guest. We believe their time and talents should be compensated. The hosts don’t get any profit from organizing DRAWN (unless you buy coffee from Rabble, which you should).

Can I attend and not draw?

Yes, absolutely. We are not forcing anyone to draw. However, we do encourage everyone to participate since we want people, regardless of experience, to discover their creative potential. Plus, every sketcher is qualified to win a prize pack at the end of the evening!
